Our services are drawn from high demand defined by the observation of numerous companies and the struggles they face. Most or all of these symptoms appear in every business we interview:

  • Executive workloads surpass the extreme state. Lack of focus on the big picture keeps top executives in a tactical mode, missing opportunity to balance short term versus long term.
  • Stagnant revenues and profits are not addressed at the highest level. Tactical plans typically do not fix the long term strategy, leaving revenues consistently stagnant.
  • Instability exists within the sales force, mostly led by a lack of a sales infrastructure, leadership and metrics for performance.
  • Executives find it difficult to let go of key leadership responsibilities due to a shortage of brain power in the company.
  • Inefficiency and lack of processes make it extremely difficult to repeat successes and create behavior driven models.
  • Job functions and role definitions are very nebulous, leaving accountability in question for clear line results.
  • Individuals are not effective in their roles within the company. Executives would rather leave underperformers in place than to have to go through the upgrade effort necessary to increase the capability of the staff.
  • Sales, recruiting, product development and delivery functions are not measured accurately. There are few standards for group/function performance measurements. If they exist, they are usually subjective in nature.
  • Lack of a living strategy forces companies to act tactically and wander aimlessly in their marketplace.
  • Identity and brand ambiguity exists, typically due to a lack of market understanding and the company’s internal value proposition and differentiation.
  • The target market is unclear, allowing competitive forces to drive pressures from all angles.
  • Product and service value propositions are not well defined, which creates a major void for company existence.

Our strategy services are typically launched upon the start of each engagement, aligning resource allocation toward the development and implementation of a strategic plan. The implementation planning process takes into consideration the balance needed to support strategic and tactical activities. The e-four engagement process enables a mix of time sensitive initiatives, always keeping in mind the long term plan and vision of the organization.
